You Reach The Age

You reach the age where
Being alone isn’t lonely
Having a few friends does not
Reflect your inability to socialise
You reach the age where
Harsh truths look better than pretty lies
Shared tears feed the soul better than fake smiles
Success is when you pick yourself after a downfall
Failure doesn’t define you, it refines you
You reach the age when
You’re able to accept that imperfections
Make life beautiful
And that the people who stay with you
Adds value to your journey
You reach the age where
You know you are worthy
Not because of your accomplishments
But because of who you are
You reach the age where
Loneliness is not in the absence of people
But in the absence of God
You reach the age where
You understand that life is fleeting
And that forgiveness is not a weakness but a virtue
You reach the age when
You look back and understand
That all that has brought you to this road
The good, the bad, the bitter and the sweet
Has made you to be beautiful
No matter what the mirror tells you
You reach the age
Where you are who you are
and all is well.
